Mrs. Emmie Ruth Beasley, age 95, of Louisville, Alabama passed away on March 27, 2021 at Extendicare Health in Dothan, Alabama.


Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Highland officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing.


Mrs. Beasley was born August 17, 1925 in Louisville, Alabama the daughter of Moody Phillips and Gertrude Singleton Phillips. She grew up in Louisville and later obtained a Cosmetology Degree from Sparks Technical College. She worked as a hairdresser and a pecan sorter at Louisville Pecan Company. She retired after 45 years from the pecan company at the age of 85. Mrs. Beasley was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved watching baseball and gardening.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry D. Beasley; three sisters, Louise Goldsmith, Kate Williams, and Regina Adams.


Survivors include: two sons, Donald Beasley, Phillip Beasley; sister, Melba Hammonds (Jasper); three grandchildren, Nathan Beasley (Crystal), Jeremy Beasley (Sandy), Brian Beasley (Mistijo); nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  


Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.


Asked to serve as pallbearers: Nathan Beasley, Jeremy Beasley, Brian Beasley, Tommy Beaty, Charles Beaty, and Jack Sellers.
