   Mrs. Faye Spivey Casey, a resident of Dothan and formerly of Ozark, entered her Heavenly rest Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was 88 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Casey will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2022, from Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brian Presley and Pastor Matthew Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday in the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Casey was born November 26, 1933 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late John Dolphus Spivey and Mary Lou Gulledge Spivey. Faye married Gerald Casey on January 22, 1953 and they were blessed with 69 years of married life. Faye has been a long-time member of Ozark First Assembly of God Church where she has served as Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary, Choir member and Forever Young Group. Mrs. Casey began her career at Phillips Van Heusen and then to the Bank of Ozark for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 1995. She and her husband along with friends, Clifton and Nemma Hughes and Tony and Charlotte Hughes, traveled the United States and enjoyed camping very much.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Preston Spivey and Winston Delane Spivey.


   Faye was the oldest of seven children and is survived by her husband, Gerald Casey of Dothan; four brothers, Billy Spivey (Debra) of Dothan, Glenn Spivey (Glinda) of Mobile, Larry Spivey (Judy) of Phenix City, Alabama and Kenneth Spivey (Gin) of Ponce DeLeon, Florida; four sisters-in-law, Betty Spivey of Newnan, Georgia, Clara Spivey of Albertville, Alabama, Joann Sutton (Javis) and Jewell Casey of Ariton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.


   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Ozark First Assembly of God Church, 170 Country Club Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
