Obituary: Mrs. Frances “Marie” Gilley

 

Mrs. Frances “Marie” Gilley of Midland City passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at her home. She was 74.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

 

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Shriners Club of Dothan, 6007 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36305.

 Mrs. Gilley was born April 26, 1945 in Madrid, AL to the late R. L. and Leona Peterson.

 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Aron Clifton Gilley preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include two daughters: Danielle Justice (Aaron Daniels) and Kimberly Snell; six grandchildren: Allyson Justice, Jordyn Justice, Cason Justice, Spencer Snell, Bryley Snell and Lincoln Dominick; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Extendicare Health and Rehab and Kindred Hospice for the love and care shown to their mother during her illness.
