Mrs. Frances Marie "Nell" Frye, age 88, formally of Leakesville Mississippi, peacefully passed away Sunday evening January 15, 2023. Nell graduated from Leakesville High School, where she was a cheerleader and met the love of her life, Charles. Nell worked and retired from Lester Army Hospital and the U.S. Civil Service. Nell’s life was decorated with her love of travel, family, laughter, and her faith. Nell was fortunate to live all over the U.S. including Alaska, and Germany. She spent many years of her life supporting various clubs and women’s organizations, Eastern Star and the NCO wives club. Her greatest achievement is the extensive family she and Charles created and dedicated her life to. Nell’s laughter and love will be missed beyond imagination. 


 


Nell was preceded in death by two of her children, Paula Gail Frye Morgan and James Eugene Frye, her parents James Monroe Creech and Ethel Bell Hicks Creech, siblings, and other relatives. Nell is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Charles; daughter, Joan K Frye Brown; son, Charles "Chuck" E Frye Jr; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. 


The Frye family will receive friends and community for the viewing from 5pm until 7pm, Thursday, January 19th in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held Friday, January 20th at 11am in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel.
