Geraldine Woodham Cox Boyd, 85 of Cowarts, Alabama went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 11, 2023. She was residing at the home of her niece, Dianne and Danny Hooper under the loving care of Covenant Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Josh Alderman officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

A life-long resident of Houston County, Geraldine was born October 7, 1938 to the late John Thomas “JT” and Clinoria Brookins Woodham. She was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky and Ira Cox, as well as their father, Rudolph Cox, siblings, Beatrice Anderson and Benjamin Woodham. A second blessing of marriage was granted when she wed William F. Boyd in 1981. Bill went home to be with the Lord in 2019.

Left to cherish her memory is a grandson, Jason Cox (Justin), great grandson, Henry Cox, daughter-in-law, Patty Cox, stepchildren, Andy Boyd (Lisa) and Phoebe Boyd, special friends, Ann Mathis, Merle and Tim Jordan, her Timbers Drive Church family, and several nieces
