MABSON COMMUNITY… Mrs. Gladys Mae Ammons Gray, a resident of the Mabson Community, near Ozark, died Friday afternoon, July 30, 2021, at her home. She was 87.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 2, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Reverend Don Mills and Pastor Michael Woodham officiating.  Burial will follow in Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.


            Mrs. Gray, daughter of the late Robert Ammons and Lucille Smith Windham Ammons, was a native of the Mabson Community. She was a member of Good Tiding Assembly of God. She enjoyed being outdoors, riding her golf cart, picking peas, fishing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Gray; two sons, Lamar and Sammy; a sister, Ollie Bell and two brothers, James and Lawrence.


            Surviving relatives include her children, Don (Erma), Ron (Ann), Jerry, Shirley, Dallas (Kelly), and Billy; siblings, Jeanie, Bobbie, and Bertha Lee (Luther); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a great-great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews.


             Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Gray, Harrison Gray, Paul Mills, Ray Mills, Merritt Mills, and Blake Senn.
