Obituary: Mrs. Grace Butler Sellers

 

Mrs. Grace Butler Sellers of Hartford went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 3, 2020.  She was 99. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

Mrs. Sellers was born September 10, 1920 in Geneva County to the late Hose and Della Butler.  Grace was a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher.  She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  She represented Christ in her daily life and taught others to follow her example.  She served as the Women’s Sunday School Class teacher at St. Paul UMC for over 33 years.  Although Grace was raised poor, she and her family were rich in Christ! 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Bernice Clyde Sellers and a daughter, Jewel Bingham all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, John Sellers (Roberta); four grandsons; one granddaughter; several great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
