Mrs. Hattie Lee Long, age 89, of Slocomb, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.


Hattie was born May 4, 1932 in Houston County to the late Daniel Wood and Stella Catrett Wood and was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church. She enjoyed studying her Bible, buying and selling antiques, and collecting angels. She also loved working with her flowers and spending time with her family.


Hattie was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Walter Long; son, Keith Long; and grandson, Justin Long.


She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Wells; her daughters, Rhonda Kay Sullivan Donaldson (Kevin) and Karen Kim Reynolds (Michael); her step-sons, David Wells (Kathy) and Shay Wells (Wendy); her grandchildren, Tiffany Davis (Rusty), Wade Reynolds, and Dean Long (Abbie); her great-grandchildren, Hannah Grace Davis, Anastasia Davis, and Trenton Davis; daughter-in-law, Beverly Long McDaniel; special nieces, Jean, Shirley, and Doodle; many more family and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Larry Newton. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL  36303.
