Mrs. Hazel Brannon Hanners of Wicksburg passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Christian Home Church of Christ with Minister Mark Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Mrs. Hanners was born on August 28, 1923 in Dale County, AL to the late Earnest and Jewell Howell Brannon.  She was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  Royce Hanners; a daughter:  Cathryn Diane Johns; a grandson:  Shane Hanners; and one sister:  Frances Woodall.

Survivors include her three sons:  Carl Hanners of Wicksburg, Charles Hanners of Memphis, TN, Craig Hanners of Pace, FL; one brother:  Robert James Brannon (Dot); five sisters:  Barbara (James), Martha (Al), Jean, Polly (Ed), and Hilda; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
