   Mrs. Hazel Weaver Whittington, a resident of Ozark, died at her home Monday, October 24, 2022. She was 92 years old.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Whittington will be 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 28, 2022, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tew officiating.

   Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

   Hazel was born March 15, 1930 in Toxey, Alabama to the late Clemey and Trudie Weaver. She had been a resident of Ozark since 1949 where she was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Whittington owned and operated a beauty shop in Ozark for over 30 years where she made many life-long friends. Hazel spent her 27 years after retirement working around her home and enjoying time with family and friends.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edward Whittington, Sr.

   Survivors include her son, Willie Whittington Jr., and daughter-in-law Patricia of Orlando, Florida; grandson, James and wife Marla of Chicago, Illinois; grandson, Kevin and wife Ariel of Oviedo, Florida; and great grandchildren; Parker, Wyatt, Adelyn, Juniper and many loved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Whittington, Kevin Whittington, Parker Whittington, Paul Weaver, Ramey Stokley, Austin Steen and Billy Edgar.

   The family would like to express their appreciation to caregivers Daisy Williams and Liz Hummel.
