   Mrs. Helen Lavender Bolt Thornhill, a former resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was 83 years old.


   Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 27, 2023, in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   Mrs. Thornhill was born January 23, 1940 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Thomas Baker Lavender and Myrtle Irene Morrow Lavender. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1958 and from NOVA University in 1989. Helen and her late husband traveled the world and enjoyed many years of memories and good times. She worked with GTE until her retirement. Mrs. Thornhill loved the ocean, sewing, quilting and Christmas houses.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Lea Thornhill; her daughter, Jenna Ruth Payne; her brother, Tommy Lavender (Gail); her sister, Cathy Lavender; and one step-daughter, Cynthia Ann Thornhill.


   Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Palmisano (Bill) and Tiffany Bolt both of Tampa, Florida; two step-daughters, Doris Thornhill of Melbourne, Florida and Katherine Thornhill of Winter Haven, Florida; one step-son, H. Lee Thornhill, Jr. (Jacob Murry) of Boston, Massachusetts; one sister, Debbie Lavender Bludsworth (Tony) of Ozark; one brother, Kenny Lavender of Ozark; brother in law Robert (Rosemary) Thornhill of Mount Dora, Florida, sisters in law Virginia (Linc) Cornell, Casselberry, Florida and Carolyn (Delbert) Roe, of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren Casey (Niels) Dijkslag, of the Netherlands, William (Deena) Palmisano III of Ft. Lauderdale, FL); and greatgrandchild Ellison Palmisano, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
