            Mrs. Hope Huey Lane, 89, of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, September 27, 2013.

            Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Enterprise with Reverend Tonya L. Elmore officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until 2:30.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main St., Enterprise, AL 36330.

            Mrs. Lane was born January 24, 1924 in Enterprise to the late Walton Sellers and Katie Mae Rowe Huey.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she had served as the church historian; the past state president of Colonial Dames 17th Century; past chairperson of Alabama State Department of Human Resources of Coffee County; a charter member of the John Coffee Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution; honorary member of the Twentieth Century Chautauqua Club; longtime member of the Harbourlites Sunday School Class; longtime member of the Tuesday Bridge Club; and she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Eugene Lane and a sister, Julia Huey Griswold.

            Survivors include 2 daughters: Jean L. Russell, Enterprise, Judith Holmes (Frank Wayne), Andalusia, AL; 3 grandchildren: Walton Eugene Russell, Michael Wayne Holmes (Deanna) and Jeffery Lane Holmes (Mary); 2 great-grandchildren: Lexie Holmes and Thomas Holmes; several special nieces and a nephew.
