OZARK…. Mrs. Ingrid Maria “Inge Boo” Mechur, a resident of Ozark, gained her angel wings, Tuesday morning, June 2, 2020 at her residence. Mama lived 77 golden years.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Deacon Pat Patberg officiating. Interment will follow. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside.


            Mrs. Mechur was a native of Germany and lived in various places while her husband served in the United States Army. They moved to Ozark Alabama in 1970 where Mrs. Mechur lived most of her life, raised her children, was an author, owned and operated her businesses with a passion and earned her United States Citizenship by teaching herself how to read and write in the English language. Mrs. Mechur had a giving heart with a firecracker personality along with a passion for story writing and being an artist. Mrs. Inge Boo was also a very loving and caring Mama, Grandmama and Great Grandmama. Miss Ingrid was free spirited, strong-willed and has never let anyone down. She was an angel on earth as in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest John Mechur and her grandson, Stephen Folds.


            Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Carmen A. Folds, Panama City, FL and Conny Tripp, Ozark; four grandchildren, Cristen Folds, Brittaney Clark (A.J.), Megan Briceno, and April Tripp; eight great-grandchildren, “Mr. Wheeler”, Braylin, Alexa Rose, Violet, Noah, Emerald Margo, Cabella Rose, and Cruze.
