   Mrs. Janice May “Jan” Oppen Snider, 84, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on November 12, 2022.

   In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mrs. Snider. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.

   Jan/Mom/Grandma/Great-Ma will be greatly missed. She spent her life giving out her heart and soul to her family and all those she came in contact with through her work, recreation, music, and travels. She always was ready to give a hug. A grandchild once said, "Grandma is always good for a hug; whether you need one or not, and she gives the best hugs". Her legacy will be carried through her family well into the future. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Eldar Gerhard Oppen and Georgia May Penniwell Oppen and her brother, Ron.

   She left behind, at her death, her husband, Floyd W. “Bill” Snider Jr.; two sisters, Lori and Cindy; four children, (BJ / Floyd III, Chris / Bryce, Janice / Janabeth, Doran); fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family is accepting donations in memory of Jan to Tri-State Community Orchestra https://sites.google.com/tristatecommunityorchestra.org/tcodothan/
