OZARK… Mrs. Janice Stone Dillard, a resident of Ozark, died Monday afternoon, December 14, 2020 in a Dothan nursing home. She was 82.


            Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon Friday at the funeral home.


            Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Place on Honeysuckle Activities Fund, 718 Honeysuckle Rd., Dothan, AL 36305.


            Mrs. Dillard, daughter of the late James Worthy Stone and Florrie Heath Stone, was a native of Dale County. She lived in Ozark for sixty-years and was retired from the Ozark City Schools as a lunchroom worker at Carroll High School. Mrs. Dillard was a member of the Ozark First Assembly of God Church and attended the Ozark Church of Christ. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Billy Ray Dillard; brother, Harold Stone and stepbrother, Joe Stone.


            Surviving relatives include her daughter, Dr. Shelia Dillard, Fairhope, AL; son, Billy Dillard, Jr. (Thea), Houma, LA; four grandchildren, Emma Palughi, Drew LeCroy (Sara), Michael Dillard, and Kenny Dillard (Ashley); seven great-grandchildren, Luke LeCroy, Liam LeCroy, Owen LeCroy, Greyson Dillard, Gabriella Dillard, Maddox Dillard, and Rae Dillard; siblings, Jim Stone, Mary Ann Jay, both of Midland City; Evelyn Willis, Ozark, Nelda Stahl, Dothan, Floyd Stone, Newton and Sarah Stone, Ozark.
