Mrs. Mary Jeanette Braswell, age 83, of Pansey, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Jeanette was born June 24, 1938 in Sumner, Georgia to the late Emmett P. Young and Letha Mae Whittington Young. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening. Jeanette was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bobby Braswell; and her siblings, Harvey Young, Dorothy Brooks, Alvin Young, and Bobby Young.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Braswell (Sara Jo) and Phillip Braswell (Paige); her daughter, Cindy Petty (Mike); her grandchildren, Ben Braswell, Joseph Braswell, Rebecca Taff, Caitlin Burgin, Zach Petty, Molly Braswell, and Sam Braswell; ten great-grandchildren; her siblings, Betty Busbin, Rex Young, Ann Howard, Carolyn Edwards, and Jimmy Young; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Pansey. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service.
