Mrs. Jewell Dunn Burch of Dothan and formerly of Hartford passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011.  She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating.  Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Hartford Senior Citizens Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. 

Mrs. Burch was born on August 8, 1924 in Pensacola, FL to the late Cossie Heman and Mattie Lou Burch.  She was a member of Hartford Baptist Church.  She worked many years at Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation.

Her husband, James Robert Burch, her parents and one son, Buddy Burch, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law:  Larry and Sara Burch of Dothan, Bob and Sharon Burch of Auburn; four grandchildren:  Brad Burch (Gretchen), Clay Burch (Kim), Amy Patterson (Tim) and Jeffrey Burch; seven great grandchildren:  Jacob, Matthew, Hannah, Ty, Michael, James and MaKayla; several nieces and nephews.
