Mrs. Juanita McKinney Summerlin of Geneva passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2022. She was 89. Funeral Services will be 1 PM. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral in Geneva with Reverend Robert McMicken officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home of Geneva beginning on Thursday at 12 PM until 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Devco Baptist Church Building Fund, Attention: Wanda Ellis, 1008 Sizemore Highway, Geneva, Alabama 36340.

Mrs. Summerlin was born October 1, 1932, in Jay, Florida to the late Matthew Lee and Alma Smith McKinney. She and husband Clyde owned and operated Clyde’s Satellite and TV Center in Geneva for over 30 years. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother and a faithful member of Devco Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde B. Summerlin, brothers Ulton McKinney, Edward McKinney and Robert McKinney, sisters-in-law Mary Summerlin Holt and her daughter Linda, Mazie Summerlin Adams, Brother-in-Law Leon “Jack” Summerlin and wives Avis and Essie, close family members Hubert Summerlin and wife Evelyn Summerlin.

Survivors include one sister, Alma Virginia Edwards-Page and her children, Nolan Edwards, Renee Edwards-Bennett and Laura Edwards-McCauley; One daughter, Denise Summerlin Patterson of Huntsville, Alabama; One son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Clyde and Kelly Jo Summerlin of Douglasville, Georgia; Four grandchildren, Wayne A. Patterson IV and wife Tiffany of Fort Payne, Alabama and Michael Wade Patterson and Fiancé Athziri Hernandez of Huntsville, Alabama, Ethan Kyle Summerlin and Rachel Olivia Summerlin of Douglasville, Georgia; Daughter of Ulton McKinney – Alice McKinney Alexander; Daughters of Mary Summerlin Holt: Susan, Beverly, Cindy and Melissa. Children of Hubert and Evelyn Summerlin, Greg Summerlin and Rita Summerlin-Hughes. Children of Leon and Avis Summerlin, Greg Summerlin.
