Mrs. Juanita Rhodes of Dothan passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 82.


 


Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Brenda Yon officiating. Burial will follow in Cottonwood City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.


 


Mrs. Rhodes was born February 11, 1930, in Etowah County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Stephen Augusta Webb and Mary Jane Stanfield Webb. She was a member of Rocky Branch Holiness Church, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She  loved her daughter, Linda, and granddaughter, Rhonda, but lived for her great-grandbabies. She also loved her dog, Dory, gardening, watching wrestling, and Alabama Football.


 


She is preceded in death by her husband, James Rhodes, daughter, Brenda Elsea, parents, a sister, and a brother.


 


Survivors include her daughter, Linda Simmons of Dothan; one sister, three brothers, grandchildren, Rhonda Pasibe (Lt. Col. Rodel Pasibe), great-grandchildren, Raven Pasibe, Rannon Pasibe, Raley Pasibe, and many nieces and nephews.
