   Mrs. Juanita Tidwell Whitener, a resident of Ozark, passed away early Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was 95 years old.


   A memorial service for Mrs. Whitener will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2022 from Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends Friday in the church from 2:00 P.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Whitener was born July 8, 1927 in Arkansas. She lived most of her life in the Wiregrass Area and was a long-time member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark where she was active in many church functions. She enjoyed feeding the animals around her house.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Warrick and one son, Steve Warrick.


   Survivors include her husband, John Whitener Jr. of Ozark; two daughters, Tina Johnson of Echo and Linda Warrick of Ozark; two sons, Larry Warrick (Judy) of Tampa and Alex Warrick (Kay Lynn) of Ozark; one step-daughter, Jennifer Blue (Rick) of Enterprise; one step-son, John Whitener III (Judy) of Guadalajara, Mexico. Special thanks to Gayle “Boo” Jordan and staff at Oakview Manor for their loving care given to Miss Juanita and her husband, Mr. John.


   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
