Mrs. Judy Benefield Norbury, age 70, of Geneva, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Clayton, Alabama surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Norbury was born on May 26, 1949 in Hartford, Alabama, the daughter of Tullie Robert Benefield and Bernice Cotton Benefield.  Mrs. Norbury grew up in Geneva, Alabama, where she graduated high school then later moved to Panama City Beach, Florida for thirty plus years before returning to Geneva. She was a mechanic with Bell Helicopter in Ozark, Alabama. She loved the ocean and enjoyed fishing in her spare time. Mrs. Norbury was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Norbury was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Jerry, Don, and Larry Benefield; 2 sisters, Gail Benefield and Gloria Benefield Smith.

She is survived by:  son, Scott Curtis (Cathy), Clayton, AL; 2 brothers, Durl Benefield (Pat), Flint, MI, Johnny Benefield, Ashville, NC; 1 sister, Margie Benefield Hoetger (Chuck), Houghton Lake, MI; 3 grandchildren, Zac Curtis (Chelsea), Loretto, TN, Paula Faison, Clayton, AL, Dexter Price (Keely), Eufaula, AL; 4 great grandchildren, Greyson and Brooks Curtis, Loretto, TN, Shelby Faison, Louisville, AL,  and Paul Faison, Ozark, AL. Numerous great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
