Julia Ann Griffin, age 85, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
Born September 11, 1938 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Myron Daniel Stevenson and Cynthia Lee Adams Stevenson, Julia was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Abbeville.
She was a member of the Business Professional Women’s Club as well as a tour guide at Shorter Mansion in Eufaula. A member of the Red Hatter’s Club along with the Garden Club in Eufaula, Julia was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan who loved to fish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Griffin; her brother, Myron Daniel Stevenson, Jr; and her niece, Kim Stitzer.
She is survived by her son, Charles Griffin (Donna); her grandchildren, Tammy Curd (Don) and Tim Grissett (Alice); her great-grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Shelby, and Sydney; her sister, Elizabeth Rose Marshall (Robert); her sister-in-law, Rodna Stevenson; her nieces, Leanne, Amanda, and Danielle and her nephew, Collin.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, October 30, 2023 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 1 PM, prior to the service at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
