Mrs. Linda Gail Stone Childree, age 76, a resident of Chipley, Florida, (formerly of Dothan)   passed away on Sunday July 1, 2018 at the SAMC in Dothan after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Glover Funeral Home chapel with Brother Doug Hogg officiating.  Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to services.  Friends may view from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Glover Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Childree was born on January 28, 1942 in Madrid, Alabama the daughter of James Marion Stone and Elsie B. Land Stone.  She was self employed as a seamstress and was a member of Holmes Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Weston Lamb.

Survivors include: Husband of 57 years, Bobby Childree, Chipley, FL; daughter, Mary Hudson (Brian) Destin, FL; son, Greg Childree (Tammy), Woodstock, GA; 2 sisters, Sara Lee, Oklahoma City, OK; Sallie Sims, Webb; 2 brothers, Toby Stone, Defuniak Springs, FL; James Stone, Miles City, MT; 3 grandchildren, Avery Lamb, Ryan Childree and Regan Childree.
