Linnie Louise Carroll Bryan went to be with her Lord and S avior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the age of 87.


Funeral services for Mrs. Bryan will be held at 11 AM Saturday March 10, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Raymond Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM prior to the service.


Mrs. Bryan was born in Troy, Alabama on May 24, 1924 to late Robert Dowling and Mary Pitts Carroll. She had lived in Dothan since 1950. Mrs. Bryan was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her dog, Midnight, cooking and flower gardening but especially spending time with her beloved family.


Mrs. Bryan is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Hagood Bryan; brother, Hugh Don Carroll and two sisters, Yvonne Clark and Elizabeth Wilkerson.


She is survived by her three children, James Lamar Bryan and his wife, Mary, Bogalusa, LA, Sylvia Roberta Taylor, Dothan, Clyde Mitchell Bryan, Panama City, FL; four grandchildren, Chris Bryan, Phil Bryan, Angie Pounds and Caroline Rebecca Hunt; six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brother, Sam and his wife, Venarra Carroll; sister, Tommie Henderson and a very special friend, Lucille Searcey; numerous nieces and nephews.
