Mrs. Lonell Phillips McCall of Samson, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012.  She was 94.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Sam Totten officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Samson First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 W. Main Street, Samson, AL 36477.

 

Mrs. McCall was born October 2, 1917, in Coffee County, AL to the late Cicero Stephens and Alma Lee Haney Phillips.  Until her health began to fail, she was a very faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Samson.

 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Malcolm McCall, one sister, Wanette Granger, and five brothers: Dallas, Huston, Julian, Huey and Gene Phillips all preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include one brother, Billy R. Phillips (Kathryn), Bonifay, FL; one sister, Margie Bennett (Jimmy), Bradenton, FL; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
