Mrs. Louise Johnson of Samson passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center on Saturday, September 29, 2012.  She was 75.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Billie Williams and Rev. Duane Delmain officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 from 6:00 until 8 p.m.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the New Home Baptist Church, c/o Hilda Wilson, 407 Mixon Miller Rd, Samson, AL 36477.


 Mrs. Johnson was born in Geneva County, AL on December 5, 1936 to the late Clifton Wise and Bertha Mae Melton Wise.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Johnson; brother, Junior Wise; sister, Virginia White and daughter, Joyce Rice.


 She is survived by her son, James Johnson (Barbara) of Brandon, FL; three granddaughters, Kelly Rice of Samson, Sherrie Johnson and Candi Parker, both of Brandon, FL; three grandsons, Andy Rice of Samson, Rob Johnson (Robin) of Dade City, FL and Tim Johnson of Brandon, FL; two sisters, Frances Cosson (W.D.) of Defuniak Springs, FL and  Betty Stafford (Bud) of Westville, FL; and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
