Mrs. Lovey Gene Floyd, age 71, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in Graceville, Florida.


Born July 25, 1951 in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Prentice Whaley and Mattie Dunn Whaley. Lovey attended New Life Gospel Center and enjoyed cooking and reading.


In addition to her parents, Lovey was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jerry Wayne Floyd and her brother, Mackie Whaley.


Survivors include her brothers, Zack Whaley (Dianne), Junior Whaley (Bettie), Jackson Whaley (Rhonda), and Sammy Whaley (Janice); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Harrison Steege officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022, prior to the service at the funeral home.
