Mrs. Lucy Nell Clayton of Dothan passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Chaplain Allen Monarch and Reverend Tony Deese officiating.

Burial will follow at Love Hill Assembly of God Church with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Clayton was a member of Love Hill Assembly of God. She worked at Wex-Tex and Sony, where she retired. She made many memories and life-long friends. She was a life long resident of Houston County. She resided in Ashford, AL for most of her life. Her parents were Richard and Irell Moore, and she had one brother. Her love of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren consumed most of her heart and mind. She passionately  loved to watch Alabama Football, Braves Baseball, and any sport her family participated in! Her love of God and family far exceeded anything in her life. Her children and grandchildren were one of her greatest accomplishments. She was loved by many. She had a beautiful heart and a sassy personality. She will be greatly missed but eternally healed and happy in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by Richard Lee Moore, Irell Mae Moore and Ronald Lee Moore.

Survivors include daughter, Pam Clayton Pylant (Don) of Dothan, AL, sons, Kim Clayton (Stephanie) of Hoover, AL., Steve Clayton of Hoover, AL., Ronald Lee Moore (Brenda) of Cottonwood, AL., grandchildren, Caine (Brittani) Clayton, Cole (Courtney) Granger, Case (Mallory Woodall) Granger, Madison Clayton (Jeremey) Raines, MaKenzie Clayton, Kacy (Wes) Morrissette, Taylor Clayton (Justin) Patton, Kaylee (Tommy) Casey, Kendall (Colby) Hidle, Kerri (Justin) Pylant, great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Clayton, Cruz Clayton, Mack Cooper Granger, Brody Casey, Bentley Casey, Evie Claire Hidle, Jack Parker Hidle, and soon to arrive Asher Steven Raines, nieces and nephews, Shannon (Greg) Tipton, Tammy (Jay) Bruner, Chris (Amy) Condrey, Teresa (Mike) Creech, Summer (Chase) Bagwell, Scarlett Moore, caregivers, Willa McKenzie, Heather Abraham, Jesse Morris, special friends, Sara Martin, and Sara Jane Monday.

Pallbearers will be Grey Tipton, Kyle Tipton, Jay Bruner, Jacob Bruner, Chris Condrey, and Andy Womack.
