Mrs. Mae Bell Daniels, of Coffee Springs, passed away February 11, 2012. She was 89. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Mark Ward and Rev. James Preachers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.


Mrs. Daniels was born in Crenshaw County, AL on October 23, 1922 to the late James Henry Ward and Berdie McCarthy Ward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Daniels; son, Edward Daniels; grandson, William Lamar Paul; two brothers, Grover Ward and Offie Ward; and her sister, Jewel Smith.


She is survived by five daughters, Mary A. Paul (Janatious) of Kinston, Peggy Walker (David) of Ozark, Linda Odom of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Carol Langdon (Ned) of Destin, FL and Teresa Besecker (Dave) of Dothan; four sons, Wayne Daniels of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Jerry Daniels (Dora) of Baker, FL, Randy Daniels (Mary) of Elberta, AL and Gregory A. Daniels of Enterprise; twenty –one grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Ward of Samson, J.C. “Jack” Ward of Ino and Ralph Ward of Samson; daughter-in-law, Linda Daniels of Luverne; and several nieces and nephews. She was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.
