 Mamie “Sue” Henry of Dothan passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at the age of 89. She was a beloved sister, mother and Nana. She was born in Barbour County, Alabama, July 10, 1933 to James and Mammie (Adams) Trammell.



Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.



She was employed by the GTE Telephone company in Eufaula and Dothan for many years. In her later years, she worked at Eye Center South. She loved her job at Eye Center South as the clinic hostess. She enjoyed getting to know all of her co-workers and assisting the patients. She worked closely with and had great respect for Dr. Fortin. Sue loved angels and was very patriotic. She was a longtime member of Cloverdale Methodist Church.



Sue is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mammie Trammell, her step-mother, Agnes Jones Trammell, sisters, Frances Johnson, Jeanette Blalock, Jimmie Escher, Valela Hurst, a brother, James Edward Trammell, and two beloved daughters-in-law Lessie Hornsby and Jane Hornsby.



She is survived by her sons Billy Hornsby (Pat), Lithia, Florida, John Michael Hornsby (Sandra), Dothan, grandchildren Billy “Jody” Hornsby, Texas, Heather Hornsby, Dothan, Christy Newman (Cory), Maryland, Melody Stephens (Ishmael), Amber Byrd (Lee), all of Dothan, Micah Hornsby (Lisa), Utah, Marianne Brinson (Kevin), Florida, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved family and friends.
