Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Hartley Henderson, age 86, passed away Monday October 6, 2014 at Signature Healthcare in Graceville after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s. 

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday October 8, 2014 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Hwy. 431 North) with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating and Kendall Glover directing. 

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida, Bethel Baptist Church or to one’s favorite charity. 

Mrs. Henderson was born on May 6, 1928 in Ashford the daughter of William Woody Hartley and Minnie Montarie Brown Hartley.  She worked for several years as a sales person with Sears in Waycross, Ga.  Mrs. Henderson was a graduate of Ashford High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dothan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Wade Henderson; 8 brothers & 1 sister. 

Survivors include: 3 daughters, Patti Watkins (Dave), Dothan; Jan Holcomb (Terry), Macclenny, FL.; Ann Deal (Andy), Valdosta, GA.; 7 grandchildren, Scott Deal, Stephen Deal (Danielle), Matt Deal (Sheri), Jason Holcomb (Candice), Jamie Holcomb, Hope Watkins and Haley Watkins; 5 great-granchildren; many nieces & nephews. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
