Mrs. Mary Agnes Ward, age 82, of Dothan, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023.
Born April 9, 1941 in Midland City, Alabama to the late James Paul Farmer and Dove Ree Thomley Farmer, Mary Agnes was a member of Frith Hill Community Church. She enjoyed flowers and fishing during her spare time. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mary Agnes is preceded in death by three brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward “Knot” Ward; her sons, William Ward (Sandra) and Gordon Ward (Diane Long); her daughter, Sue Johnson (David); her grandchildren, Mary Caitlyn Ward (Phillip Pinyan), Chris Johnson, Hilary Myers (Josh), Christopher Cosby (Bethany), Dallas Hires (Hannah), and Eden Victoria Ward; her great-grandchildren, Reese, Eli, Gage, and Lily; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Max McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Josh Myers, Christopher Cosby, Dallas Hires, Dylan Trouant, Larry Johnson, and J. J. Lowe.
