   Mrs. Mary Etta Johnson Peters, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was 79 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Peters will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2023, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with her brother-in-law, Reverend Harold Peters, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends Saturday in the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Flowers will be accepted.


   Mrs. Peters was born January 5, 1944 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Felter F. Johnson and Etta Pearl Allen Johnson. She was a devoted wife and mother, always making sure that her family was well taken care of. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and going fishing.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Junior Glenn Peters.


   She is survived by one daughter, Becky Schofield (Kevin); three sons, Glenn Peters Jr. (Tabitha), John Peters and Lewis Peters (Christina) all of Ozark; two sisters, Ann Childree and Lois Spivey both of Ozark; two brothers, Allen Johnson (Faye) and Charles Johnson (Kathy) all of Ozark; two brothers-in-law, Reverend Harold Peters and Edwin Peters (Bridgett) all of Ozark; grandchildren, Joshua Peters (Brittany Tabor), Cristopher Peters (Christina), Ashley Peters, Deanna Lemons (Andrew), Dustin Peters, Dakota Albritton, Nicholas Peters, Austin Johnson and Savanah Peters; great grandchildren, Braxton Peters, Maci Peters, Naomi Peters, Logan Peters, Waylon Albritton, Maverick Johnson and Alina Peters.
