   Mrs. Mary Faye Scott McDonald, a resident of Ozark, died Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 95. A memorial service for Mrs. McDonald will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with her son, Reverend Bob McDonald, Jr., officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until service time.


   Mrs. McDonald was born March 10, 1927 in Anson, Texas to the Late John Henry Scott and Ruth Mae McIlwain Scott. She graduated from Anson High School and attended Hardin-Simmons Nursing School in Abilene, Texas. She also worked as a physician’s assistant in Anson, Texas during her early 20’s. She and her late husband, Lt. Col. Bob McDonald (United States Army, Retired), arrived at Camp Rucker, Alabama in December of 1954. For thirty-six years they owned and operated HOSS of Ozark (Home, Office, School Supply and Printing Business). Mrs. McDonald was an active member of Ozark Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and loved baking cookies for Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed spending time on her porch watching birds and studying God’s word. She also enjoyed being with her family, sewing, and teaching her grandchildren how to play checkers and dominos.



   She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Bob Jr. and Peggy McDonald of Chelsea, Bill and Mary McDonald of Huntsville, Susan and Tommy Lavender of Ariton; Tim and Emily McDonald of Ozark, John and Natalie McDonald of Iowa. Thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
