Mrs. Mary Frances Green, age 91, of Clayton, Alabama passed away on April 21, 2021 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Clayton with Rev. Hollis Ritter officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 till 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

 

Mrs. Green was born October 3, 1929 in Louisville, Alabama, the daughter of Colie Greene and Mary Beaty Greene. She was a hardworking woman and she loved farming and cooking. She loved spending time with her family. She was known as a sweet, genuine woman. She was a member of the Cattleman’s Association and was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Herman J. Green; seven siblings and grandson, Christopher Randolph Green.

 

Survivors include: one son, Randy Green of Clayton; two grandsons, Aaron Green (Joanna) of Pittsview and Jordan Green (Destin) of Clio; great-grandson, Jace Green.

 

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery Fund- 487 County Road 53, Clayton, AL 36016.

 

Asked to serve as pallbearers:  Anthony Green, Bobby Joe Green, Dennis Green, John Green, Mark Green, and Verlin Baxley.
