Mrs. Mary Nell McLaney of Coffee Springs passed away January 25, 2012.  She was 74.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Doug Green officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.


 Mrs. McLaney was born in Geneva County, AL on October 12, 1937 to the late Tom and Ola Jane Motley Whitaker.  She was employed at Pilgrim’s Pride for the last eleven years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. McLaney; and three brothers, Paul Whitaker, Austin Whitaker and Wilmer Whitaker. 


 She is survived by three sons, David Parker of Coffee Springs, Tony Chapman (Suzanne) of Dothan, and Darren Chapman of Coffee Springs; daughter, Debbie Reynolds of Clayhatchee; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and brother, Floyd Whitaker (Mary Lou) of Valparaiso, FL.
