Mrs. Mary Ruth Bodiford Robertson, age 90, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Noland Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 4, 2018 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rickey Plummer officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday prior to services at Glover Funeral Home Chapel. At other times the family will be at home of Robin Lewis, 209 Boulder Drive, Dothan, AL, 36305.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38148.

Mrs. Robertson was born November 26, 1927 in Houston County, the daughter of Jasper Wilson Bodiford and Rillie Mae Smith Bodiford. She attended Cottonwood High School and was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.  Mrs. Robertson worked as a telephone operator for several years in Dothan and Washington, D.C., then she became employed in retail sales with Sears and Montgomery Ward for a total of 23 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Marcus Randall Robertson, a son Tony Randall Robertson; a sister, Mettie Irene Love; and a brother Jasper Elzie Bodiford. 

Survivors include her 3 daughters:  Patricia Rae Minor (Wayne) of Prattville, Teri Lin Smith (James) and Mary Robin Lewis (Jimmy) of Dothan; 8 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Wesley Minor, Matthew Minor, Christopher Smith, Daniel Hardin, Tristan Sanders, Luke Minor, and Michael Phillips.

The family would like to give a special thank you to nurses & staff of 5 East at Southeast Health and 4 east nurses and staff of Noland Hospital.   A special Thank You also to Dr. Hundley and Dr. Aliabadi.
