Mrs. Mary Thompson Andrews, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019.   She was ninety years old.


Funeral services for Mrs. Andrews will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Donald Moore officiating.  Interment will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark following the service.


Mrs. Andrews was born October 1, 1928 in Dale County, Alabama to the late James Henry Thompson and Nellie Dora Lee McInnis Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Travis Andrews; three sisters,  Jimmie Lou Alums (Oree), Miriam Beasley, and Eva Nell Harden (Lucious “Duck”); one brother, Quinton  Thompson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Thelma Childree, William L. Andrews, William H. (Bill) and Ann Andrews, LT and Willa Mae Cutchens, Orville and Gertrude Batchelor; nephews, Larry Alums, James Alums, Jerry Batchelor and Roger Batchelor.


Survivors include one daughter, Sara Nell Andrews of Dothan.  Several nieces and nephews also survive who have visited faithfully.  Included in that is one faithful niece who called her every day, Shirley Browning. 


Dear friends and neighbors, John and Glenda Lynch are so appreciated for their devotion to Mrs. Andrews. The family would like to thank Tracie Gissendanner, Ginny Lowe, and Dorothy Gissendanner for their devotion as dedicated caregivers this past year. 


Out of town guests and family are invited to join the family at 11:30 A.M. at Hoppergrass Restaurant in Ozark for lunch.
