OZARK…Mrs. Maurine Cannon Knight, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday afternoon, February 1, 2022, in Dale Medical Center. She was 96.

            In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Mrs. Knight Daughter of the late Jody Cannon and Molly Goodson Cannon was a native and lifetime resident of Dale County. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially cooking for everyone. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband J.W Knight; Three sisters Bertha Langford, Pearl Mae Tramill, and Mary Tomlin.

            Surviving relatives include her children, Joseph Knight (Linda Barber), Freddie Knight (Carol), Wanda Knight, and Marie Futch (John); five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
