Mrs. Maurine Marler McInnis, age 77, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015.


Born December 13, 1937 in Elba, Alabama to the late Johnny and Mary Rushing Marler, Mrs. McInnis was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. An avid gardener, she loved hummingbirds and knockout roses. As much as she loved cooking and baking, she also loved football but more importantly she loved to be at the ballpark watching her grandkids playing ball.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. McInnis was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert McInnis; her sister, Ann Marler; and her brothers, Eddie B. Marler and Edlow Marler.


Survivors include her daughters, Kim Boutwell and Lynn (Sid) Watkins; her son, Greg McInnis; her sister, Grace Livingston; her grandchildren, Bryan (Lindsey) Watkins, Joey Watkins, Ashley McInnis, Patrick (Ashley) McInnis, Allison Boutwell, and Ariana Boutwell; her great-grandchildren, Brantley Watkins, Landon Watkins, Anzley McInnis, and Hampton McInnis; her step-great-grandchildren, Zoey Watkins and Annagrace Watkins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 from the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
