Date of Service: In consideration of community health and public safety due to the COVID 19 Virus, funeral services will be held for family and close friends at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Dothan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3 pm.

Mrs. Merle was born on October 27, 1926 to the late Joseph Walter and Ina Mae Jinright.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her five siblings, Joseph Walter, John Andrew, Maude, Alice, and Ruby Lee.
Merle is survived by her loving son, Donnie and his wife Carolyn Head; her grandchildren, Jason (Stacey) Green and Tabitha Head (Tim Dyson); her great grandchildren, Gabby Dyson, Grace Williams, Trenton Dyson, Rebecca Dyson, Brantley Green, and Amelia Rose Dyson.
