Mrs. Mildred Jeanette Vaughan of Geneva passed away on Wednesday, February 08, 2012. She was 80. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Shirah and Rev. Matt Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Vaughan was born in Houston Co., AL on December 11, 1931 to the late Doyle Gilley and Jessie Alma Morrow Gilley. She and her late husband, Boe Vaughan owned and operated Geneva Florist for many years. She was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Gilley and Judge Gilley.

She is survived by two sons, Greg Vaughan (Teresa) of Opp and Bob Vaughan (Leslie) of Oakdale, CA; four grandchildren, Charlie Vaughan of Birmingham, Rebecca Vaughan Simmons (Matt) of Auburn, Abigail Vaughan of Kirksville, Missouri and Megan Vaughan of Fayetteville, AR.; brother, Doyle Glen Gilley of Fort Mitchell, AL; two sisters, Evelyn Hughes of Baldwin, FL and Janice Leger of Dothan.
