     Mrs. Mildred Juanita Thomley Courtney of Wicksburg passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Henry County Nursing Home.  She was 91.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Buddy Hood officiating.  Burial will follow in Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until service time. 

Mrs. Courtney was born on January 5, 1921 in Houston County, AL to the late Allen Oliver and Sallie Lue Thomley.  She was a member of Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by one son, Ted Courtney, two sisters, Nettie Seay and Ouyeda Draughon as well as four brothers, Aubie Thomley, Clyde Thomley, Dolphas Thomley and H. B. Thomley.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law:  Shelby and Christie Thomley of Dothan; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
