Obituary: Mrs. Mildred Turner Carpenter

 

Mrs. Mildred Turner Carpenter of Malvern passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Hartford Health Care.  She was 81.

 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Cox officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made the Bay Springs Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Carpenter was born August 8, 1940 in Geneva County to the late Amie and Jane Sasser Turner. Mildred was a true southern lady and stay at home mom who loved to “window shop”, eat out, and drink Pepsi colas!  After the death of her precious son Mark and his wife Marilee, she and her husband James, cared for and raised their granddaughter, Markie.  Mildred truly loved her family and will be dearly missed.

 

In addition to her parents, husband, James Carpenter; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Marilee Carpenter all preceded her in death. 

 

Survivors include a granddaughter, Markie Lamb and her husband Matthew; great grandchildren: Marilee, Caroline, and Mark Lamb; sister, Mary Deal (Billy); cousins; nieces; nephews; and other extended family and friends.
