Mona Arnold Wambles of Dothan passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at the age of 68.


Funeral Services will be held at 12 P.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Elizabeth Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.


Mona was born in Dothan on May 4, 1954, to the late Porter Arnold and Loretta Tice Arnold. She was a graduate of Dothan High School, class of 1972. Mona enjoyed a long career with Bay Line Railroad. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, planting flowers, and being known as an animal lover. Mona was a very personable individual. She had numerous friends and acquaintances that loved her for her big heart and infectious smile. Mona will be missed by many.


In addition to her parents, Porter Arnold and Loretta Arnold, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buren Wambles; and sister-in-law, Lynn Arnold.


She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Crystal Clark (Bryan); stepson, Matthew Wambles (Shelbi) grandchildren, Carter Clark, Claire Clark, Elliot Wambles, and Emmett Wambles; fiancé, Jimmy Harris; brother, Mike Arnold; special friends; and several other family members.
