Mrs. Myrtie Bell Vaughn of Chancellor passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011.  She was 95.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Providence United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Gattman, Mississippi on May 8, 1916 to the late Robert Lee Markham and Dessie Pope Markham.  Mrs. Vaughn lived a very full and special life.  She will be dearly missed.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Vaughn and eight siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Cousins of Chancellor; two grandchildren, Michael Demmer (Jeanette) of Geneva and Jennifer Demmer of Chancellor; four great grandchildren, Sophia, Lawson, Russell and A.J.; and special niece, Ann DeYoung of Dothan.
