MARLEY MILL COMMUNITY…Mrs. Nell Allen Peters, a resident of the Marley Mill Community, near Ozark, died early Friday morning, December 8, 2023, at her home. She was 88.


            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 10, 2023, in the Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Rocky Head Community. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Sunday at the church.


            Mrs. Peters, daughter of the late James A. Allen and Ara Grace Brown Allen, was a native of the Rocky Head Community and moved to the Marley Mill Community in 1963. She was a member of the Ozark First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Peters will always be remembered for her willingness to serve in any capacity at any church function. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, George Wilton Peters and her siblings, Rene Fulton, Retha Whitehurst, Glenn Allen, Seth Allen, and Beace Davis.


            Surviving relatives include her daughter, Nancy Bewley (Doug), Harvest, Alabama; her son, George Peters (Hannah), Dothan; her sister, Bernice Wynn, Rocky Head Community; grandchildren, Luke Peters and Jacob Bewley; nieces and nephews.


            The family would like to thank SouthernCare Hospice and her caregivers, Sharon Manning and Brinda Thompson for their loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Peters and her family.
