Mrs. Pearl Chambers Mills passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Hartford Healthcare.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Johnny Belcher officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Mills was born June 13, 1925 to the late James Edwin and Lura Dell Whaley Chambers.  She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bennett Mills; son, Homer Lamar Mills; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and son-in-law, Jimmy Lee Newsome.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Judy Newsome of Enterprise; 1 sister, Betty Dye (Charles) of Enterprise; 1 grandson, Brian Newsome (Karen); and 2 great-grandchildren, Lauren Grey Newsome and Morgan Rayne Newsome.
