Peggy Bertrand, a resident of Dothan passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was 86.

Peggy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Peggy loved her family and friends and would do anything for them. She always put others first and knew no stranger. She could talk to anyone, anywhere, at anytime and she did. This had to be the reason she excelled at her job as an operator for over 30 years at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Peggy had an amazing sense of humor and her laughter was contagious. She also loved Alabama football and Coca-Cola in the small glass bottles. Peggy was an amazing woman and will be missed by many, but especially her family. They loved her deeply.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Crews, her husband Walter J. Bertrand the love of her life, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter, son, three grandchildren, a great-grandson and sister.

Funeral services will be held at St. Columba Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
