Mrs. Peggy McIntosh Franklin passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at her home in Samson.  She was 71.


 


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at the First Baptist Church in Samson with Rev. Sam Totten officiating.  Burial will follow in the Travelers Rest Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise Saturday, July 28, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also at the church Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. and continue until service time.


 


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Camp Victory, 363 Victory Circle, Samson, AL 36477.


 


Mrs. Franklin was born August 16, 1940 in Coffee County to the late Harry McIntosh and Lottie Hogan McIntosh Johnson.  She was a very loving wife and mother.


 


In addition to her parents two brothers: Rin and Bo McIntosh also preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her husband, Lester Franklin, Samson; three children: Sheila Hundley Walters, Enterprise, Joey Hundley (Penny), Auburn, and Meloni Rayford Gibson (Jody), Enterprise; six grandchildren: Shae, Joshua, Rhiannon, Rachel, Jared and Mallory; one brother, Dennis Johnson; sister-in-law, Jan Franklin Hallmark, Samson; other extended family and friends.
